Service Description

Assist in navigating through the collection of building codes for new or existing facilties. Assist in "Navigating Through the Maze of Accessibility" which includes code or law review, site surveys or site inspections, and provide guidance on SCOPING a site or projects that utilizes Public Funds or Federal financial assistances such as tax credits or loans. Note: ADA is not a building code...it's a civil right. The building code contains other provisions and are SCOPED differently than the ADA and ADAS. FYC always say this: "Be Proactive and Not Reactive" and "Protect Your Investment." Know that there's a difference! Assist those that feel their accessibility civil rights have been affected by specific elements, features, or functions within the built-environment. FYC's Subject Matter Expert (SME) services can help survey or document those existing site conditions and assist in creating a barrier-free experience. (e,g.: accessible route to building entrance, accessible parking space and access aisles, parking lots, service counter heights including self-serve areas, seating and aisles, gas stations, and even electric vehicle charging stations and charging spaces.) Assist with assessing and providing guidance of your existing home to plan for Aging-In-Place. (Remember, there are no ADA laws that are enforceable for single-family homes) Provide General or Specific In-House Accessibility Training for your organization.
